A shopping mall complex designed for Noble Jewelry Limited in Panyu, China.
The project is located on Shiqiao Fuhua Road West, Panyu District, Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province, China. The site area of the Project is 35,700 sq. m and it will consist of 200,000 to 250,000 sq. m. built area. The main components of the building complex under
the Project include: Shopping area (56,000 to 68,000 sq. m.), shops (12,000 sq. m.), office (95,000 to 120,000 sq. m.) and underground parking.
We want people to meet, to mingle and to generate events. We also wish to maximize the shop front area by juxtaposing a dynamic and non-linear circulation onto the site. Programmatically, we have introduced a hotel , a cinema and a super market into the mall complex, thus, the complex may provide an enriched shopping experience for the transient and returning shoppers.
We have conducted a study on shopping and the challenges for retailers due to the increasing of internet shopping. Our study of shopping behavior had classified that there are two types of shoppers- impulse shopping and influenced shopping(i.e. purchases that are conduct because of trendiness of certain goods). In response to these two shopping behaviors, we have not only created more shop front spaces for the display of goods, but we wish to create a “cultural hub” which allows the “trends” carried by the shoppers, their dressing styles for example, to influence the others visually.
